This is about life in emerging residential communities on OMR. Would like to see this emerge as an interactive forum to raise issues, discuss ideas and share info. on the pluses and pitfalls in off-city living.

Daycare centre at Chettinad
In case you haven't seen it,this leaflet announcing admissions to Chettinad daycare centre was distributed with morning newspaper. The notice also announces job opening at Chettinad Daycare for women graduates. The Chettinad daycare is probably the closest to Mantri's, in the absence of an in-house daycare at our clubhouse. We have the space and infrastructure , but no takers yet to run Mantri's daycare centre.

Since I'm looking for a play-school for my little one, I visited the Chettinad Kids Centre yesterday. And I must thank you as I came to know about it from your blog a couple of months back.Few more inputs on the centre for the interested:
ReplyDelete-It is located inside the Chettinad Health City Campus. One of the doctor's quarters has been modified to house this. The place is nice and cozy and clean. My girl loved it.
-They have different programmes-Toddlers for age group 1.5-2.5 years, Preschool for age 2.5 years
onwards and KG. Day care facility is available.
-Timings: Toddlers-9-11:30 and 11:30 to 1:30 (two different batches)
Preschool: 9-12 am
Day care:12 pm to 5 pm.
The co-ordinator said they have trained teachers and day-care attendants. The next session starts in June for which the admission is on.
Amelio is another option for a day-care. It is located inside Hiranandani Upscale.I spoke to them as well, however didnot visit the facility in person. They have half-day and full-day programmes. The first half they engage the child in some curriculum which acts as a pre-school. The second half is purely day-care. They take children as young as 6 months in the day care. Their timings are 9 am to 6 pm for the full day programme and 9am to 12 pm for the half day.
